SIIPPR
Small, Independent and interdisciplinary PsychoPhysical Research

Intensive, interdisciplinary, sensitive, aware. We are listening to each other. Learning. Offering a generous dialogue between our different worlds of movement, that orbit around Dance, Martial Arts, Sensorial and therapeutic work. Individually in the group, everyone has a place. Your background is accepted, your foreground questioned, tickled and confronted.
Movement help us channel emotional, intellectual and sensorial body-mind centres. Where and how to redirect your energy, is a question we need to practice in our everyday life with a certain amount of pleasure, joy, curiosity and dedication.

Participants feedback:

I attended the second week of the SIIPR LABS (18th to the 22nd of March 2019) directed by Leif Firnhaber, Saïd Garbi, Yaara Dolev and Carmelo Fernandez.  The workshop was balanced by games,  driven by physical actions as continus movement, an accurate sense of hearing or the use of the voice, the touch... What made this week so special was the blending of these tools with great sensitive awareness - dancing blind-full, pushing imaginary frames and narratives. This lead to creating a very soft group confidence.
I would strongly recommend this workshop as I enjoyed every process the intervenants took us through;  opening my dance to new sensitive paths, awareness, and freedom in the movement.

Florence Peyrard  (France) / Contortionist - contemporary dancer - singer

SiiPR was and is a great possibility to share movement practice with a felicitous combination of five very different, but at certain points excitingly connected artists. It is something innovative, in the way how they overlap, interiorize and further develop each others thoughts generated by the actual situations, co-incidences we somehow created and were in all together. There is both artistic freedom and possibility for self-expressions as well as a structure which we all need in one or an other way. For me the most important thing is the experience - a really strong moment of joy, happiness, fear, doubt, a touch or else - which gives something new to my approach to the practice, to my movements, to my way of thinking, to me as a person....thank you for that.
