"As an autodidact I learned mainly through working experience, starting on Canary
Islands with break dance, then into professional contemporary dance at age 18. In Madrid I visited some conservatories and private dance schools, but was mainly working with choreographers as a performer. After a couple of years I felt belgium contemporary dance calling and moved here, where I started working with David Zambrano, Charleroi Danse (Michelle
Anne de Mey), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Damian Jalet , Opera Houses in Antwerp, Ghent and Luxembourg (rehearsal
director and assistant), National Youth Dance Company UK,
etc. I performed in venues all over Europe, Japan, North America, Canada,
Brazil and worked as performer for UP and Chameleon with Jozsef Trefeli, an Australian/Hungarian choreographer based in Geneva. There are many lesser known artists I have collaborated with independently, see collaborators in the about section.
Aside
from being a performer and dancer, I have been assistant and jury for contests, sharing my personal work through classes & workshops for professional companies in the field of contemporary
dance (but not only) - such as Ultima Vez (BE), Akram Khan(UK), Cie Thor(BE), Royal
Ballet School (Antwerp, Belgium), Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema
& Sound (BE), Circuit-Est (Canada), National Dance Company of
Paraguay, Dance School and Universities: LA FAKTORIA (Pamplona, Spain),
Artesis Plantijn College (Antwerp, Belgium), Tallinn University of the
Arts (Estonia), Company Jorge García (Sao Paulo,Brazil), including many
physical research and training workshops in Paraguay, Argentina, Chile,
Mexico, Portugal, Turkey..."
